Where do we hunt?
Hunting takes place in both private and leased reserves, primarily rice paddies and ponds where water is plentiful. Hunting also occurs within the islands of the extensive delta of the Middle Paraná River.
What do we hunt?
Our region is world-famous for having a large number of ducks, as this is their natural habitat. Among those that can be hunted are the Crestón, the Sirirí, the Pampa Sirirí, the Cuchara, and there are also partridges and pigeons in great abundance.
How do we hunt?
The typical method in our area is to set up blinds where a maximum of two hunters are stationed. These hunting stations are usually located on the banks of lagoons or in rice fields, requiring long boots for protection. For partridge hunting, we use trained dogs that mark, pick up, and once killed, collect and bring back the prey. For chickens, the hunting method is to march in a longitudinal line through the chosen field where the chickens are hidden among the bushes. Here, the hunter demonstrates his skill in this type of fast hunting, where the senses are extremely important.
